M65 EpiDeath® ELISA Cat. No. #10040 CE-IVD
M65 EpiDeath ELISA (Prod. No. 10040) CE-IVD
The M65 EpiDeath ELISA is the next generation of Peviva's biomarkers. It is intended for the quantitative detection of keratin 18 (K18) present in cell culture supernatants, human serum, human plasma or other body fluids after it has been released from dying cells into the extracellular compartment. The assays offers the opportunity to quantify total cell death (due to apoptosis and necrosis) of K18 positive (epithelial) cells.
The M65 EpiDeath ELISA, when used in combination with the M30 Apoptosense ELISA (which specifically measures apoptosis), allows to distinguish different forms of epithelial cell death, especially recommended for in vitro applications (e.g. cell culture supernatants).
Where caspase-cleaved Keratin 18 (ccK18) and total Keratin levels (tK18) are compared to each other using human blood samples, published studies suggest the use of M30 Apoptosense ELISA and M65 Classic ELISA (#10020), especially where a ratio between ccK18 and tK18 is calculated.
The M65 EpiDeath ELISA is a modified version of the M65 ELISA and is intended for the samples with high Keratin 18 plasma and serum levels (e.g. sepsis, GvHD and liver toxicity such as DILI or ALF).
